Dentist2Go Acceptable Use Policy
DRAFT v0.1. Version: [1.0] · Effective date: [DATE]. This policy forms part of the Patient Terms and the Practice Terms.
The spirit of it
Dentist2Go exists so a patient and a dentist can meet like people before either commits. Everything below follows from treating that meeting, and each other, with ordinary respect.
Everyone using the platform agrees not to
- Record anything. No recording, transcribing, screenshotting or streaming of intro calls, by any means. The calls are unrecorded by design and both sides rely on that.
- Put health details in free-text fields. Report descriptions and feedback boxes are for describing behaviour only. Do not include dental history, symptoms, treatment details or medication information about yourself or anyone else. We remove such content where we find it.
- Behave abusively. No threatening, harassing, sexual, discriminatory or abusive language or behaviour on calls or in any submission. This applies equally to patients and to practice staff.
- Misuse the reporting system. Reports are for serious concerns. Deliberately false or vexatious reports lead to suspension of the reporter.
- Deceive. No false identities, no accounts on behalf of someone else (except the adult-account arrangement in the Patient Terms), no multiple accounts, no misrepresentation of registration or credentials.
- Interfere with the platform. No bots, scrapers, automated booking, probing for vulnerabilities, attempts to access other users' data, or circumvention of rate limits. Security research is welcome only through responsible disclosure to help@dentist2go.uk.
- Use the platform for anything other than its purpose. No advertising, solicitation, recruitment or commercial approaches through calls or profiles beyond the practice's own listed services.
Additionally, practices agree not to
- Present anyone other than a GDC-registered dentist on an intro call.
- Use the call to sell unrelated products or pressure patients toward treatment decisions on the call itself.
- Contact a patient outside the platform before a match releases contact details, or use released details for marketing without the patient's own consent.
What happens on breach
Depending on seriousness: a warning, content removal, suspension (with human review and an appeal route, as set out in the Patient Terms and Practice Terms) or termination. Where behaviour may be unlawful, individuals remain free to contact the police; we do not obstruct and we comply with lawful requests.
