You're not alone, and you haven't done anything wrong. Dentist2Go lets you meet a private dentist before you commit to anything, so going private starts with a person, not a price list.
1.Tell us where you are
We show you one practice near you at a time. No endless lists, no ads, no paid placement. Just the nearest good fit that is accepting patients.
2.Meet the dentist
A free five-minute video call. They explain how the practice works and what things cost. You get a feel for whether you trust them. These are private practices; a check-up typically costs a fee the practice states up front.
3.Both of you choose
After the call you say yes or no, and so does the practice. If you both say yes, you get their full details and book an in-person appointment directly.
Questions people ask
Does it cost me anything?
No. Patients never pay Dentist2Go anything. Practices pay a subscription to be on the platform. Treatment you book later is private treatment, paid to the practice directly.
Is the video call a consultation?
No. It is a five-minute introduction: rapport, services and prices. The dentist cannot examine, diagnose or prescribe on the call, and it is never recorded.
What if I don't like the practice?
You say no, no explanation needed, and we introduce you to another practice near you.
What if the practice can't take me on?
You get a neutral message and an immediate offer to meet another practice. It happens; it is not personal.
Can I choose a specific practice?
If they're on Dentist2Go and accepting patients, yes. If they're not on the platform yet, you can request them and we'll tell them patients are waiting.
Where is Dentist2Go available?
England only at the moment. Practices on Dentist2Go are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, which covers England; Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regulators and we don't operate there yet.
What about emergencies?
Dentist2Go is not an emergency service. If you have severe pain, swelling or an injury, call NHS 111. If it is life-threatening, call 999.
